Welcome friends! For our first Confessions of a Wedding Photographer: AMP Vendor Highlight, I'd love to introduce to you...
Brown Fox Creative!
We asked Kristen, the owner of Brown Fox Creative, some questions about her business and I am so excited for you guys to get to know her and see her amazing work.
Kristen is located in Burleson, TX, but services clients around the world! She focuses on wedding stationary and invitations for all types of events! We asked for her to walk us through her story on how her business got started and here's what she had to say...
Ironically enough, I started my business out of boredom. I was a brand new college grad making a pitiful salary in my first job. They couldn't keep me busy at work, and I needed some extra income... so Brown Fox Creative was born. It's not glamorous, but it's the truth! Before I knew it, I realized that I could make my side gig my main gig. I spend every day designing beautiful things, so I can't complain.
She said she got started in the wedding industry because... "I was married three weeks prior to starting my first full time job, so the wedding was fresh in my mind and I wanted the fun to continue!"
Things I absolutely love about Brown Fox Creative:
- They specialize in custom wedding stationery, but they also offer semi-custom options for our clients on a tighter budget.
- They create three different designs instead of the typical one. They want to make sure you love the end product!
Kristen says she finds her inspirations "blogs, interior design, nature, etc. — it changes all the time." She says that in the next couple of years, she is "looking to grow, which at this stage means adding some team members. In doing so, we hope to pop up in a lot more upcoming weddings!" How exciting is that?
A little bit about Kristen outside of Brown Fox Creative!
I'm married to a wonderful man for six years now. We have a three-year-old daughter who is a brain cancer survivor (she kicked cancer's behind before she was even one year old). I love to read, work out, hang out with family and friends and watch movies!
Probably my favorite question I asked Kristen was...
What is the biggest piece of advice you have for a bride planning a wedding?
Your invitation is the first look and gives guests a preview of what to expect — don't think this doesn't matter. Do you want people to show up in wranglers, boots and a cowboy hats to your black tie affair? ... No? Then show formal elegance with your wedding invitation suite.
Thanks for hanging out and learning about Kristen with Brown Fox Creative! Stay tuned next week for more Confessions of a Wedding Photographer!
